quick sketch

some initial sketchwork for a forum project:

i've gotten so tired of digital media lately, mostly because i find myself getting some crazy headaches once in a while. times like that, it's always nice to remember my handy, trusty and best friends: sketchbook and pencil. and brown paper is just awesome to draw on.

started as a sketch in my sketchbook, but then came across some great feedback on my work; they noted that i should try diversifying my color palette.

so i reproduced the sketch quickly in Photoshop and went in with colors i don't usually use, trying to make the mood bright and cheery. great exercise and a fun illustration!

for a friend of mine. i put this off for way too long, but here's my first sketch of a character he's been thinking about; the hunted man. feedback welcome, of course! :)

O_O haven't posted in a while. i feel bad. here's a painting exercise i forced myself to do today. not my best, but it ain't the worst either, i'm glad to say ^_^
